Animal Rescue League holding Clear the Shelters free adoption event – Reading Eagle
The Animal Rescue Little league of Berks County is participating in Saturday’s NBCUniversal’s 2022 Obvious the Animal shelters pet ownership event.
All cats and dogs older than 6 months of age will be free to adopt at the Cumru Township shelter at 58 Kennel Road.
Potential adopters should check in www.berksarl.org/hello when they arrive. Registration begins at 9 a. m. and the particular ARL will be open 11 a. m. to 5 p. m., with a waitlist closing at 4: 30 g. m.
No appointments are necessary.
All adopters must go through the ARL’s regular procedures to adopt , including the completion of an re-homing profile and speaking with an adoption counselor.
The ARL suggests all family members plus any existing dogs within the home should come to meet potential new canine members of the family.
Dog adopters should bring a leash and collar (or purchase one there) and also need in order to bring $7 cash or check for the Pennsylvania dog license, which is required by law.
Cat adopters should provide a carrier or even can purchase one from the ARL for $5.
It is the eighth year NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations are partnering with animal shelters plus rescues across the country to promote pet usage and help raise funds to support pet welfare.
